Georgia says she joined Moe Life Skills, now Life Skills Victoria Inc, ‘a while ago’. She has been involved in a number of exciting projects such as successfully lobbying for a pedestrian refuge outside the facility with her self-advocacy group, and speaking at disability conferences and forums about her work and life experiences.
Georgia is also an active member of the community. She has a busy schedule volunteering at a number of community organisations, including the Salvation Army. Some of the jobs Georgia does are: tagging of clothes, hanging out clothes and manchester, sorting tickets and coat hangers, cleaning mirrors and dressing rooms as well as folding clothes.
Of Life Skills Victoria Inc, Georgia gives a glowing recommendation:
“It’s a good centre. They’ll enjoy it. Good staff and good students”.
