Be supported to work in a small café making and selling barista coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and cold drinks.

You will learn to use a coffee machine, an industrial dishwasher, and gain employability skills including money handling, maths, communication skills, customer service skills, time management, problem solving, self-management, and cleaning skills.

This course is delivered in our training café, Café 65, at Narracan Gardens Aged Care Facility.

You will develop the necessary skills, knowledge, and confidence to actively participate in the working of a Café, including:

• Work Health & Safety (WH&S) requirements.
• Basic customer service skills.
• Using a cash register.
• Time management at work.
• Communication skills for work, such as, general greetings, listening, following directions, and clarifying instructions.

Basic coffee making skills, such as, heating milk and grinding coffee.
